Faulkner Calls For Judicial Inquiry Into AFP

1 September 2002

It was reported on channel 9's Sunday today that AFP informant, Kevin John Enniss bragged to reporters that he had sabotaged and sunk boats of asylum seekers trying to get to Australia.

Labor Senator John Faulkner, who recently questioned AFP Commissioner Mick Keelty about 'disruption activities' in Indonesia, has now called for a full independent judicial inquiry into AFP operations in Indonesia.

Tony Kevin and Ross Coulthart will discuss the Sunday program's revelations on Late Night Live with Phillip Adams on Radio National Monday night (2/9 10pm) and doubtless will explore their relevance to the SIEVX Affair.
